A New Roof for Christ The Rock Church

PRESS RELEASE

A New Miracle Roof

So how does prayer travel for a good roofer? For Pastor William Quintero, Barrington, IL, the answer was 1,311 miles. That’s how far a prayer traveled for him, if you don’t count from heaven and back. When Pastor Quintero, with his congregation of Iglesia Apostolica Cristo la Roca Christ The Rock, who have been renting space for several years, had the opportunity to buy a building in a high-cost locality, it took a lot of sacrifice, and generosity to purchase the building. That left them with little in the treasury to fix up and modernize the building. One of their immediate concerns was a leaking roof that would further damage the interior.

A former DeKalb, IL, resident, Ricky McGraw, President of SFR Services, Stuart, Florida, #1,311 miles away, when he heard of the need, he got involved. SFR Services is a multifaceted national team of roofing specialists that have done quality work all over the nation, as well as being a premier roofing contractor in South Florida. Ricky McGraw has sent teams to cover, replace, and repair commercial and residential roofs from lower Florida to Texas and all over the Midwest following natural disasters, hailstorms, hurricanes, and floods for both small and large, difficult jobs. For this job, he brought a team of roofers, supplied materials, and cleaned up the site for the church family.

As part of his giving back to the communities he services, his team took the project from start to finish without any compensation for labor, material, or costs. His generous gift to the church brought tears, shouts of joy, and –an answer to prayer from 1,311 miles away. When you have a big heart, distance doesn’t matter.
